3days 2nights Boracay @ P5,000

Did you know you can actually enjoy Boracay  for 5,000 pesos inclusive of roundtrip transport, 3days 2nights accommodation and priceless memories?  Weh!

Seriously.

For transport, take any of the following buses that leave from Manila to Iloilo everyday at around 1pm.  Dimple Star, Ceres Bus.  They will get you to Batangas port by 5pm , where it will take the roll-on roll-off (RORO) ships to Calapan. From Calapan, the bus will travel to Roxas , Oriental Mindoro and take another RORO. Calapan to Roxas takes about 4hrs.  Meaning that will be 10pm  to 11pm, you will be too sleepy to monitor where you are, just sleep. Don’t worry, sunrise will meet you in Caticlan and in few minutes, Bora!

Note: You will not be sitting in a bus for 14 – 16 hrs, you will have to alight the bus and go to the upper portion of the RORO where you can enjoy the ship’s cabins.

Lessons to be learned: Appreciate land travel and local cruising!

Bus fares cost P1,000 per way, meaning P2,000 round trip!

Next : Boat transfer to Boracay at P250, meaning P500 round trip

Next: Where to Stay? Find guest houses and guest houses at reasonable costs. I know some resorts that offer P3500 for group of 5 -6 in a room, and that’s Holy Week rate. That’s P500 – P750 per night per person, meaning P1,500 for 3days 2 nights!

Bus –    P 2,000
Boat – P      500
Room – P1,500
Total: P    4,000

I bet the remaining P200 can afford you bbq for 2days (P800 is for pasalubong).

This is for real, I have tried this bus route several times as my husband hails from Antique. As for the resort, I know some very close friends who have availed of this kind of accommodations.  Hey, the beach is waiting!
